What makes a good location for a Buffalo Tweetup?

I originally thought a place with wifi was essential, but that's not true. The whole point of a meetup is to meet up--in person--so there's really no need for wifi. Besides, everyone will have digital cameras, and some of us will no doubt record audio and video for our podcasts.

I've been to several fun Toronto Podcaster meetups at the Imperial Pub. They have a nice open space on the second floor, very informal, with lots of tables and chairs that are easily moved around. We need someplace like that in Buffalo. And it should be a Buffalo place, not a chain restaurant or bar.

So: suggestions? In the Amherst area, there's Alternative Brews and Buffalo Brewpub; on Hertel there's Sterling Place Tavern, Wellington Pub, and Shadow Lounge; downtown there's the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery. Any other ideas? Any favorites?

BUFFALO BREWPUB, please. They have CIDER. I love Cider.

Jen, Buffalo Brew pub seems fine, if for some reason it didn't work out we could always change. Probably start meetings at the end of March or Beginning of April. Maybe I will contact Buffalo Brew Pub and see if they'll discount a group. Who knows.

i know this is really late due to the fact that the meet up already happened but i had to chime in. When I saw where the meet up was going to be one of the first things I thouht was "oh.... Woodchuck Cider.....mmmmm" Funny. I hope you were there and were able to enjoy some cider.

I've only been to Buffalo Brewpub once, but it seems like an excellent choice. It's a nice open space, with lots of room for any size group to gather and mingle.
